Day 6 - First song to come on your shuffle that relates to your day that day; explain it.

D in Detroit
The Anniversary

It relates because most of my day has pretty much been spent waiting and thinking about life. Sounds like the same thing everyday pretty much. Which scares me that I think about a certain topic daily. I see it my dreams and when I reach out I restrain and just attempt to be content with my decissions but maybe I’m holding someone back in my life. More like everyone I come in contact with, or so it seems.

these lyrics are relative to what I’m speaking of…

i kept your picture just behind the eye those weeks when our distance grew. drove north where i found you waiting in des moines. thank god i’m not losing you and girl i hope youre not alone and sleep through this weather and girl i hope you’re whole again, back home we’ll sleep better.”

“Probably no stars will physically hit each other. There’s just so much space between the stars, but when Andromeda collides with us it’ll have a huge impact on the Milky Way. Some things will get thrown into the black hole in the middle, some stars will get ripped off and thrown away into space, so it’ll be dramatic. And the entire night sky will change.” - The Universe S1E9 Alien Galaxies

Just a friendly reminder that Anno and Co. originally intended for Rei Ayanami to creep the hell out of us.

Rei was, for all intents and purposes, a personified backlash against the hordes of 80s and early 90s fanboys who slobbered over female characters, and who figured that having a 2D girl that obeyed your every whim and had no voice as your own personal fuckdoll would be pretty damned sweet.

In other words, they wanted a placid, soulless little girl to wank over.

And Anno delivered. Oh, boy, did he deliver.

We tried to explore this building but failed epically because the house was flooding and the floor was dry-rotted leading to it collapsing beneath us when we tried to explore further. Maybe we’ll come back on a sunny day and try again. I’m taking a wild guess and saying that the reason it was abandoned in the first place is due to severe flooding issues since the building and the surrounding area got flooded terribly by only a mild amount of rain.
